It is that time of the year... when boxes of soan papdi and kaju katlis are passed on from house to house, unopened. 😃 

Memes about regifting are funny — until we stop to think about the implications. Have we become so totally unimaginative about gifts? Have we stopped putting thought and heart into choosing the right gifts for our loved ones?

At shumee, we always speak for children. If you are buying a gift for a child this festive season, here is a note from all the kids we know!

• The gift should be fun (An educational Diwali gift is just 👎🏼)
• It should be age-appropriate, something they can open and enjoy right away (No waiting pleeeeease!)
• It should be something they like and enjoy or are interested in. (Dinos for dino lovers, artsy  stuff for craftsy kids, books for the readers etc.)
• If you can think of nothing, get them a gift card and let them CHOOSE. They will thoroughly enjoy the freedom to pick something for themselves!
